Default Duplicate Messages...

Please Login to Remove!

Here is the problem I am having and I am hoping someone out there knows the solution.

I receive my email via POP3 to my laptop and my Blackberry. at various points during the day, my blackberry is turned completely off. When I turn it on, it downloads all messages since it was last on to the handheld even though I have already downloaded them from the server using Outlook 2000and in many cases deleted the messages.

Is there any way to eliminate this duplication of emails? Have I configured something wrong? Why does it do this?

Need more info on your email account. What email system do you go through (yahoo, gmail)?

It isnt a yahoo type of account. It is from the mail server itself. I use MAIL2WEB to host my email account. I have set up outlook to delete the messages off the server once downloaded locally. Somehow though they still end up going to the Blackberry.

Are you using mail2web exchange with BES? Or just a Pop3 access account? If it is BES, it will send the message to your Blackberry before you can download and delete via Outlook.

Did you check your reconciliation defaults? I kept getting messages that were reappearing on my Pearl, but I checked the email reconciliation defaults and changed it to make the desktop have priority over the handheld.

Just an idea. I'm not expert, but it seems like a problem I had.
