I've got a couple of questions about my new 8703e:

1. Why are there two internet browsers:
-Blackberry Browser
-Internet Browser

2. What's Options->Security->"Memory Cleaning" ???
-This is new to me, I was using a 7750 and it didn't have this as an option.
-What does it do, how often does it need to be run to keep my berry running fast/smooth?

3. What does Options-> Screen/Keyboard->"Automatic Backlight" do? and how does it work?

I beleive that is an option that comes with an S/MIME BES setup ... have you changed email or BES servers since going from the 7750 to the 8703e?

The Automatic Backlight uses a sensor to determine which backlight setting (off, mid or full) will be optimal for the current lighting conditions.

Memory Cleaner

Message content is stored in the handheld memory. For security reasons, users should clean the memory regularly. The memory cleaning function removes decrypted content from the S/MIME memory, the temporary key store, and the handheld clipboard.

Memory is cleaned automatically when the handheld is synchronized with the desktop, when the user locks the handheld or when the handheld locks after a specified amount of idle time, or when the user changes the time or time zone. Users can configure the memory cleaning function to run when the handheld is inserted into the holster or when the handheld remains idle for a configured period of time (2, 5, 10, 20, 30 minutes, or 1 hour).

is the memory cleaner under BES only? I can't seem to find it on my 8703e BIS device under options > security

It is a feature of the S/MIME version of BES.
