I have an 8700c that charged to 100% with Cingular's OS. I switched to the Telstra build of the OS and it would only charge to 95% (according to the indicator). Later switched to the Bharti build and it went back to charging 100%. Never found out why but the only difference was the verison of the OS.

Yes, mine 8703e charges to 100%. Though it is my second battery, I returned the orginal battery because it would not hold a charge.

Yup, forgot to say it seems to take charge better off the travel charger over the USB.

My 8703e charges to 100%, and quickly too, on the travel charger. Takes a lot longer hanging off the USB port on my laptop.

Hmmmm I think I need to switch my battery then also. It charges all night long and is dying by 8:00 at night.

I find it interesting that mine will charge to 100% while plugged in via USB to my PC, but only charges to 95% when plugged into the wall.

That's exactly what I figured, and never worried about it, because the plug next to the battery indicated goes away showing that it's charged.

My "plug" next to the battery icon never goes away either. No matter how long I leave it charging, its always there.

I had this problem with my 7100t. It would sometimes go to 85 or 90% and stop. I was using the wall charger. Some said it was some versions of software. I updated the OS, changed my battery, and that worked for a while but it soon came back. I noticed that if I removed the battery and rebooted I could plug it back in and it would go to 100%. It did get pretty annoying wondering if my BB was going to be charged or not.

I think I figured it out.
Turn radio off while plugged in, or "full power off".
Just charged mine up via travel charger for tomorrow and it took 2h25m. It was on for about 2h15m. It is unplugged and there is no plug icon on the screen. Take it back.

Well yeah, if I unplug it the "charging icon" goes away. I'm talking about while its plugged in. Isn't it supposed to go away on its own when its fully charged?

Yes it should... But if you are only getting a 95% shown charge, even if it is really 100%, then the BB does not think its done....

I have had problems with several of my phones displaying 100%, but then going down to 30% in two hours after minimal use.

Maybe it's stage fright.
