users are NOT allowed to carry camera phones at all! There are many government agencies and private sector businesses that forbid the carrying of camera phones in the workspace. Most likely the 8710 is being released to satisfy the needs of those customers.
T-Mobile, of course, is employing a different strategy: Their first 8800 unit (due 1st quarter of '07) will be sold sans camera. Then, somewhere around the summertime, they'll be releasing another 8800 WITH the camera.
