Folks,

For those of you that understand the Guts of the Pearl better than me, is it possible for the Pearl to be upgrade to Cingular's new 3 G network. Does it have the right proccesor etc...to handle a 3 G network.

I am trying to decide if I break down and buy a pearl or wait for a Blackberry with UTMS sometime next year? I live in a UTMS/HSPDA and the speeds are impressive. If the Pearl is able to be upgraded I may jump on it and gamble that Cingular upgrades the radio.

There is no technical way to do it.

What Szadzik said. UTMS/HSPDA is a *hardware* upgrade, not a firmware/software upgrade. Would require an entirely different radio circuit board.
