Default driver install pearl 8100

Just got a Freedom Universal Keyboard - bluetooth. Has a Mac icon on the package but the instructions indicate that one must have Blackberry Desktop 4.0 (Windows only as best as I know) and be running Windows in order to install the driver. The driver gets installed on the BB via the USB cable and during the process the driver provides an unlock code (or so it seem from their poorly written documentation).

Anyone know how to install the driver and have an understanding of the role of the Desktop software (to manage the driver install)? Not much Windows knowledge here.

thanks
jeff
