Default the recurring gmail problem

Please Login to Remove!

I know that this has been covered over and over, but i have yet to see it with a verizon customer. When I use a gmail account and send a message, i get a message back as tho i am the recipient, but the actual recipient also gets it. I have tried the filter answer on gmail to no avial.....

Check the filter again...you're probably just not setting it up properly. Use the link MrKyoo posted. BTW the filter needs to go in the BIS settings, not GMail.

I havw looked at that link, but as I said I am a verizon customer and as far as I know they don't give us any kind of BIS page, that's why I keep asking...

Every carrier has a BIS page to my knowledge. Have you contacted Verizon to find out for sure whether they have one or not? I'd say that's your best bet as the only way to stop the duplicate emails is to set up the filter on the BIS page.

That was a new one to me, however, once i put in the pin it said there was already an account. Guess i'll have to contact verizon....

I come from a treo background and I'm new to the BB stuff. I have the same problem on Sprint but I dont call it a problem. With the treo you press send and hope it all works out. With the BB I know it went out. I get a copy as well but I actually like that. Coming from a Treo the additional message is what I like to call a confirmation message. Problem for some but not for me - I love it.

did finally get to log into bis for verizon and set up a filter, we'll see what happens!!!

just to let everyone know what happened....got in touch with verizon about the duplicate email problem...they had to get me to "teir 3 date tech support" to check a box in their computer system to discontinue the forwarding. Maybe that will help someone else eventually....at any rate thanks for the help and patience!
