Question TOMTOM for Blackberry 8100

Please Login to Remove!

Can anyone tell me if TomTom 5 (or TomTom mobile 5) would work with the Blackberry 8100. I am used to the Tomtom here in the Uk and would like to know if anyone has managed to get tomtom working with their BB 8100.

You can get it to pair to use as a bluetooth speakerphone but I've never been able to use the data features of the TomTom on my 910

ignore the previous ignorant comments, yours is a fair question.

tomtom have released a client for some symbian based mobiles, unfortunately it was developed in c and not java (symbian has a java vm so lots of applications are written using java as it has a quicker development period than c).

tomtom have recently been looking to hire a mobile java programmer for their scotland office so they are definitely working on a java solution and it'd make sense for them to include a blackberry port in their release.

like cellguy says, i also cannot pair with the tomtom (tomtom one in my case) for anything other than the speaker. the bluetooth implementation on blackberry is pretty basic and doesnt contain many profiles. my guess is only gps pucks that allow the bluetooth serial port emulation profile will work, maybe tomtom use another profile (can't be sure, never looked into it too deeply).

How do you get it to pair as a speaker phone? What exactly are the steps? I have a TomTom 910 and a Blackberry 8100 and the phone recognizes the tomtom but the tomtom rejects the phone!
