Default Cancelling Blackberry Email

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, hope someone can help, because my service provider (Bell,) cannot.

I've cancellled my blackberry email, and am just using it as a phone (7250,) simply because I wasn't using it to it's fullest potentional, and as you know, it's expensive.

Anyways, on to my question...Bell told me that if people still write me or if I write from the blackberry, I'll get charged. I asked them to just not allow that to happen, they said they can't prevent that, it's something I have to do.

So I logged into the Bell Blackberry Client site and disabled all my accounts. So how do I remove the email accounts from my blackberry? I have a hotmail and a blackberry one still showing on my screen. I'd like to remove them but haven't the faintest idea...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

You can delete the service books for webclient and your hotmail account. Go to options >advanced options >service books.

Hope this helps.

Hey thanks a lot! It seems to have worked! I still see the envelope icon for my email though (blackberry one,) it removed the hotmail one no problem...is there a way to remove the blackberry one as well?

If not then thanks a lot man!

Did you delete the service books for webclient? I haven't had that on my BB for a long time so I can't remember just what service books are in there for that.

There should be an actual service book on the BB that says "webclient". You need to delete that one too-on the BB itself. .

I think your service provider rep is full of poop! You need to ask that you Blackberry service be terminated. When they do that you will no longer get mail pushed to your device. This is something THEY, your provider, has got to do if you are no longer to be charged for it.

Just deleting your email account will not stop Bell from billing you for the service. You need to call them again and tell them to stop your Blackberry Service Plan.

Are you referring to the Messages icon? You can't remove that. It's an integral application. You can move it and you might be able to hide it. Try higlighting it, then press and hold Alt and click the trackwheel. If you can hide it, the menu will have a Hide option on it.

If they're referring to your Blackberry data plan then they're full of crap. The have complete control over it and can definitely remove it. However, they may have been referring to text messages (SMS). Most carriers in the US charge you for each SMS (inbound or outbound) unless you have an SMS package added on your line.

Apparently It can't be hidden. Does anybody know is there a theme that would allow me to secure or hide the "messages" icon? I noticed I have two icons for emails. the messages ap and an app with my yahoo email on it. both result in the same interface when called.

I'm not sure about that one. I have the 7130e and I hid my message icon and just use my email icon. I don't think you should have any problem hiding it. It may depend on your bb model.

It all depends on the theme.
