I am LOVING this application!! I was using IM+ (paid way to much for it) and it is not as clean and good looking as this! I would recommend this to anyone! I actually already did! I have a friend that is using it too and she is liking it a lot too.
I hope that if they ever start charging for it they don’t make you pay outrageous price like IM+ does.

BES.
Ok that worked, I copied and pasted it into the browser and shazam. It simply asked if I wanted to continue with the unsigned application.
Thanks, it works...

Okay, that's really weird. It seems like certain BES setups don't like to click through OTA installs.

Sounds like you aren't using the OTA url they provided. In the email there are two URLs...one for installed via desktop and the other OTA. Read the email they send you again carefully.

I thought about that, and double checked, and I was in fact using the OTA URL provided. I did also try the .zip URL, and it simply told me that ZIP was an unrecognized format.

The .cod file that RIM uses is just a renamed zip file, so the BB should be expecting a zip format file even for OTA, just not a zip extension.
This problem only seems to occur with BES BBs (and rarely), so the guess is that the BES email/browser setups in question have some sort of OTA nannying going on, and putting the URL directly into the BB browser seems to always work around the problem.
EDIT: a bit more info here. Seems like for some of people who had trouble with this, the default browser on the BB is not the BB browser, but for example, the cingular browser.

Hi Kai,
I have tested the .23 version, the battery drain seems to be a lot lesser than the .22 version but it still drain a bit faster than the older version. I have set my idle time to the lowest, which is 1min.
And GREAT JOB on fixing the MSN Contact, all my contact shows up as their username now instead of their email address!

Correct, you would have to install BerryZip for the ZIP version to work on your berry...

I got that a while ago and didnt want to say anything about it because no one notified people it was available. I figured they might not want everyone having it yet else they would post that its available like usual.
I do like how this now has the grouping feature.

While I finally got the app. And I would proudly like to say that Verichat is deleting right now....and im 40 bucks poorer:( But im not about to go through the hassle of getting my license back from whomever owns verichat now. This program is working great so far and the features far exceed IM+ and are just as good as Verichat. Thanks for all the hard work!

Great application!
I will pay whatever price is associated with this after it comes out of beta.
Great application, great UI and great stability so far.
Keep up the great work!

Build 0.5.24 Available
As some folks have already noticed, build 0.5.24 is now available.
What's included in this build:
- Group support. At this point this support is read-only, so the existings groups you have in your native services will show up in JiveTalk automatically, but you cannot yet edit groups or add/remove buddies to groups from within JiveTalk. To enable groups, go to preferences and set "Buddy List Grouping" to "Groups"
- Support for grouping buddies by accounts. This is an alternative view to the buddy list, also configurable under preferences as a "Buddy List Grouping" option.
There are several grouping related features, these are: - A virtual "Conversations" group for your active chats, similar to what BB does in their native YMSG or GTalk client. This group shows up if you have active chats and have more than 1 group showing.
- Ability to show/hide empty groups. This is a new option in preferences. When hide empty is selected, groups with no visible members will not show up on the buddy list. This option can be used with the "show/hide offline buddies" option to hide groups with no online members.
- Multi-group support for services that allow buddies to be in multiple groups (Yahoo/MSN/Jabber).
More active detection of data network coverage and connectivity problems. - Visual cues for when no data network coverage is available or when the application is in the middle of trying to reconnect to the server. When this happens, the titlebar color changes from BLUE to GRAY.
- The application will prevent you from performing certain network tasks when there is a connection problem, you will be asked to try again later. These include add/remove buddies, accept/deny contact requests, log in to new accounts.
- The application will automatically queue up outbound messages when there are network problems, and deliver them when the connection gets reestablished. Undelivered and unconfirmed messages will show up in the chat screen as GRAY text, and the color will change to BLACK once the delivery confirmation is received.
Others: - Prompt for delete and delete all accounts. The lack of a prompt was a bad design on our part.
- More optimized battery saving algorithms.
As always, email notifications will go out to the beta distribution list shortly.

What version do you think will have the ability to read away messages?
I like all the other features, but it would still be nice to have an IM client that is more similiar to a desktop version rather then a mobile phone app.
Thanks again.

Tmo Jivetalk Issues
I am on tmo, downloaded jive talk to my bb pearl, but I am unable to log on to AIM. I get the error mess - 400 Bad Request. I talked to tmo tech supt, advised that tmo is having trouble with AIM, global ticket issued, not eta. Anyone else have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it?
