So when there phone is messed up and the "time doesnt change" they would just go to their provider and complain.

Alucard,
I got a notice from RIM to install the patch about two weeks ago on my BB 7130e. Would assume that all BlackBerrys got a similar notice.

Worst off I'm not getting paid because our senior psycho manager decided to limit us from OT. I understand his reason's just that I must do these followups to limit the impact on our 2 BES Admins the TRUE admins (I'm just a junior weeding through without formal training by I do have my level 1 TS certs - desktop & device) .
But I take pride at least I'll learn incredibly more than what I've learned today - which was quite alot! And know that I'll be helping out my colleagues & also those admins that so helpfully help out our team.
> So my predicament is nothing compared to theirs as their working 24hrs straight tomorrow because of the expected issue of the DST. Im sure their covered but Damn Cingular for removing the BB browser. I must reinstall the firmware, THEN I can get the patch installed.

Unless you are a manager with more than 5 employees you are entitled to overtime. You better keep immaculate track of your hours. This is a special situation for IT employees, since they are abused and requested to work overtime regularly w/o compensation. Look into it; if to correctly complete your job you have to work 10 hours a day you should be paid for 10 hours a day - no excuses.

Oops, this should be in the 8800 area, hopefully one of the mods will move it to where it belongs. Thanks.

Same for me(with a Pearl). Computer changed, Pearl did not. Says 2:00am CST when it should read 3:00am CST.
How hard is it to get the time right?.....:(:(

Go here - BlackBerry to learn more.
Your BB will be fine; but the time may be off and meeting requests may be mixed up.

I have a dumb question -- what about all our other devices and gadgets (laptops, VCRs, other non-BB phones and PDAs, etc.) that automatically update DST? How do those work? Does anyone know if we have to manually change those tonight and then in April do we have to adjust for the automatic update? ??

I did download the patch OTA yesterday. The time did not change on my main screen, but it did change under Options, Date/Time setting. I also noticed that the time did change in my calendar too. I changed it manually under Date/Time option and it's fine now. I thought the patch was supposed to fix this issue?

Mine (8100 Pearl) did not change either (The main screen). But it shows under the option Network Time is one hour ahead. I thought the Patch will fix it. Do I have to adjust it manually ?

Is your BB in the correct time zone?
Are you sure the patch is installed? Look in Option - what does the top item say?

Mine didn't change either on the main screen, but did change under Optons/Date & Time. I rebooted, but still the same. The DST2007 patch says it's installed and my time zone is correct (Eastern Time (-5)).

Yes it is . I am on Central Time (GMT -06:00 US & Canada)
It look like this:
Time: 6:38 am
Date: Sun, Mar 11, 2007
Date/Time Source: Network
---------------------------
Network Time: 7:38 am
Networkdate: Sun, Mar 11, 2007.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) BlackBerry8100/4.2.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)
My date/time source was set on blackberry and not network. Could that have something do to with why the main screen time did not change?

I switch back & forth on Date/Time Source. BlackBerry to Network, then Network to BlackBerry, that didn't change a thing.

I just went into Options, Date/Time, hit the menu key, and selected "Update Time". The time on the home screen changed to the correct time.

I'm using the 8800 and I was told that it was updated so there was no need for the patch so there's nothing under options for me. Is there another way to tell. Like others it chaed under network time in the bottom half but the upper part of the date/time screen was off by an hour and it set as being eastern time -5. Oh, does this mean that in April since I've manually changed the time it will jump ahead another hour?
The pearls in my household changed flawlessly though.
