Default Blackberry Maps on 7520!

Please Login to Remove!

I have not seen this posted but I came across it when looking at new features present in the new 4.1 software for the 7520. Not sure if you need it or not to load the application, perhaps someone with the older .273 version of the software on their handheld can give it a shot and see if it works?

Go there on your BB and download it. It works with the internal GPS and is a pretty nice setup for free...

Also, the original thread where this info was posted by me is:

Awww, and here I thought I was cool.. Crap, I didn't even get the thread in the right place as today I take a look and find it in the proper forum... Sorry about that!

Well, lets just let this thread die off, but I have to say I was impressed the 7520 can still keep up with applications like this.

Default I'm surprised

Hey,

I'm surprised this really hasn't caught on yet. I've been using this for a week now as my GPS Navigator, it works great. It's feeding live info none stop. I work for a Telus Dealership, so I have an unlimited plan. But I plan on blowing this up to my customers. This is the way to go. Forget guying GPS navigation devices, when you can get this for free, and you're already paying for it on a monthly basis. It tells you the speed your driving, the heading you're driving, what's the name of the street or highway, and the map is just so unbeleivabley accurate. I love it.

Is it possible for the internal GPS on the 7520 to feed data live to the mapping program? I seem to have to hit update on LAND BASED SERVICES in order to update my location on the map...
