I have the Zen theme (which is very cool) running on an 8703e. I missed a call last night and a new icon appeared, I know it is Verizon's way of telling me I missed a call but I can not figure out how to delete it from my inbox without switching themes.... any ideas?

Does the new icon appear to be a tiny icon of a cassette tape? If so, that is the voicemail icon, call your voicemail, listen and delete. It should remove the icon.

If it is truly a "missed call" icon, go to your Messages Folder and look there, delete if present, OR your Phone Call Log, delete there if present.

If the icon persists, post back here. It would help if you sorta could describe the icon as well.

Yes, to make my "hey you missed a call" icon go away I just have to go to phone and scroll over the number that was missed. To make my "hey you have a voicemail" icon go away I have to actually listen to the message.

Ok, the icon is a yellow rectangle with a star in the top left corner. I have checked VM and there is none, I have deleted the phone number from the missed call list. If I disable the Zen theme, I have a message in my inbox with the information about the call. With Zen enabled, I don't have the message.

Sounds like an sms. On 4.1.0 zen, the sms box is a seperate icon, possibly hidden.

go to your inbox and hit alt-s . This will take you to your sms mailbox and you will see a message there. Delete it or open it and the little notification icon will go away.

Hey Nomis - I was stuck on that for a while too - finally figured it out as well. I have a question about the Voicemail icon on the Zen theme...does anyone know if there's a way to get the number of voicemails you have next to the icon? - I used to have the Zen theme on my old 7100i and it displayed the number. Wondering if we can do it with the 8703e (Sprint). Thanks fellas.

- also does anyone know of any "Zen-like" themes that shows upcoming Calendar entries. I think I tried the Zen Today but wondering if there are any others any of of you had a good experience with.

IIRC only if you get SMS notifications but the indicator will show the count of all SMS and not just voicemail.

I used to get the SMS icon (with the number of messages) to show up on my main screen (8703e, Zen Theme) but now it doesn't and I have NO idea what I did. Is there a setting to hide this icon, or rather show it, for new SMS messages?
