Default No Shame, who return the curve to at&t store and got money back from AT&T?

Please Login to Remove!

I unlocked my new Curve. Its great work, but tmobile browser, instant messging and personal email don't show on curve, even not working!. I resent the service books from tmobile.com, change PIN and IMEI, and have access to my email accounts. I also went to the host routing tables and registered. Still not resolve for 24 hours less. Unfortunately, I returned it to at&t store and got money back from at&t yesterday.

I can't live without:

1. Instant Messneger
2. Internet Browser
3. Email messages

I am back with my T-mobile 8700g, and waiting for something release the curve on t-mobile store soon..

I WANT MY CURVE NOW! LOL!

But I can wait till T-Mobile curve units hit on store or online in one to two months for real!

Anyone who return it and get your money back?

I think you probably jumped the gun. There will be lots of Curve users unlocking for t-mobile and the cure is bound to be posted online.

My point exactly. As I said in another thread, T-Mobile should be very flattered that a number of their power BlackBerry users have decided to stay with T-Mobile and not jump ship. It's tempting... AT&Tingular got the exclusives on two of the hottest devices this year.

If anything, I'd say they need to roll out 8300 support ASAP - even if it isn't perfect. I really don't want to return the device... I'd rather just switch carriers since my contract is up.

You got lucky. Had a guy try to return an unlocked BB Curve to me fortunately I caught it. As he made a change to the device we would not do a full refund to him not even a store credit. He voided any warranty and our ability to return it to RIM for credit

I am using an unlocked Curve from ATT for my TMO service too and am having no issues!

It amazes me that people get upset about it not workin fully particularly when TMO doesn't yet support the device!

Default Don't tell them it is unlocked.

Do not tell them you unlocked the BB if you return it. Don't mention anything about tmobile. The reps don't check to see if it is unlokced.

There were many posts asking whether or not unlocking a device would void its warranty and the main answer was no. Unlocking a device should not void the warranty and any AT&Tingular store should take it back.

Shouldn't have said that. Ezrunner now will check all devices to see if they are unlocked and possibly warn other AT&T reps

I agree with this. Unlocking the BB does NOT void the warranty. If I put my contact list on it I've made a change to the device. Hate to say it EZ but I think you were wrong to do deny warranty of the device. Both TMo and ATT will unlock the device for you if you ask them. It doesn't void the warranty.

You should be ashamed of yourself, exrunner. Unlocking a device DOES NOT void any of its warranty. Unless there is a store policy you can show us, the device warranty is from RIM, not ATT. Glad we don't have reps out here trying to make up the rules as they go.

Also just asked an ATT exec who manages ALL blackberries and he told me that it was a bad call and does not affect a return or warranty claim.

Nice work.
