How can we change Stand by mode button on top.

The reason I want to change, while keeping in, getting out from bb casing or walking, it press due to pressure. Which cause sometime automatic redialing....

port80, if you hold down the mute button, it goes into standby mode, if you hold down the * button, it keyboard locks the phone. You can program one of your side buttons to keyboard lock per lonnielove's directions.

epark21, you are right.

standby mode is different then key pad lock. Key pad lock is better as it does not unlock it. But stand by mode is not reliable as while walking it comes out of this mode due to pressure on case.

Just wonder what is purpose or best use of StandBy Mode?

Not sure about you guys but I use standy mode ALL THE TIME... if I put the phone in my pocket or just have it laying around and don't plan on making calls I will ALWAYS have it in standby... reason being is the phone will ring or vibrate anyways but the keypad is locked... I just hit the standy button again and answer...

The reason I dont like keypad is when someone calls it gives the options on the screen and if in your pocket the scroll ball and some pressure can answer anyways...

Just my opinion...
