Is there a plastic holster available like the very basic swivel one that came standard with the 8700?

On the 8700, I popped out the belt clip / swivel mechanism to make the holster slimmer. Then, with the berry in the plastic case and storing it in the inside pocket of my suit jacket, I can with one hand reach in and pop the berry out, check the berry, and then pop it right back in, all in one swift motion, using only one hand.

I'm looking for a similar one-handed, narrow profile holster for the Curve...

Thank you ahead of time for any helpful replies...

Same here, I have a 7520 and I want a plastic clip just like that one for the 8300. I haven't purchased a Curve yet though so I have some time to wait and see what comes out.

And to the person above who said:

"REMINDER: A PHONE IS NOT AN ACCESSORY, DONT WEAR IT ON YOUR BELT!"

I have to wear it on my belt because when I wear it on my head it just falls off and clipping it to my ears is painful...

I do not think they offer the plastic holster after the 8700 series. Many complained about it damaging the finish on the device.

Maybe it was just me but I used to have a heck of a time getting my device out of the plastic clip. I hated the darn thing!

But to each his/her own

Does anyone know whether you can easily get the berry in/out with one-hand using the following case, or any other case that is similarly slim (might be a long shot, but also might be an easy trick to make a case work as I hope... similar to how I learned from this forum how to pop out the plastic 8700 holster's swivel mechanism):

BlackBerry Accessories Store - Product Detail

Again, thank you ahead of time for any helpful replies...

I do not have this case but it looks like it would take two hands. One had to hold onto the case and the other to pull the device out of it. I suspect it has a somewhat snug fit or it would fall out.

I went to my local larger Cingular corporate store and picked up the BB brand swivel leather holster. $29.95 and it works well. Some of other smaller stores, or certainly the dealer stores, did not have the phone much less any accessories in stock.

I went with the RIM OEM leather holster in burnt sienna. I really don't like wearing stuff on my belt (too dorky) but it's handy in certain situations. Before you harp on me I work in technology but still think it looks too geeky to have all that crap hanging off of your hip....lol

Due to the fact that are still no 8300 holsters in the UK, I got an OEM 8800 one this morning

Works great, it's not as snug as the 8300 is for sure but it's hardly slinging around lose either. It's a good fit and a good alternative as others have said

Which 8800 holster are people referring too? Not a big fan of having my phone in my packet
