Anyone able to assist me here.. I just go ot my 8800 and luv it, but I having endless issues trying to play mp3 files.. My BB simply reset itelf everytime I click on a mp3 or 3gp file??

Did you check for the latest OS version? My 8830 has the same issue w/ ~video~ until I upgraded to the latest OS.

Yep I have the very latest v4.2.1.68 (2.3.0.54)
Any other solutions? Does the file need to be a certain bit rate perhaps? Its crazy... as I seem to be able to use the file as a ringtone and it works fine, just cant play the mp3 thru the media player and subsequently the same for the video..?

What is the bitrate on the mp3's? I haven't had that problem and I have my BB loaded with mp3's. Most if not all of my music is 128 or 160. I would re-rip the tracks and see if that works.

Oh guys, I have got t to work.. Simply reformatted the media card on the BB and now it works like a charm..
Thanks for all your suggestions..
