Using bluetooth with blackberry 8800
Please Login to Remove!
I have paired my Motorola H700 headset with my BlackBerry 8800 and I tried to make a call but all the audio was still on the phone. Is there something I have to do before I make a call to let my blackberry know I want to use my bluetooth headset? In my Motorola H700 set up guide it says once they're paired that I should hear the audio on my headset..but Im not for some reason even though my 8800 recognizes the H700 headset and it's saying they're paired.
does anyone know what I should do?
thank you!!

Did you set it to be trusted? On your BB, Options->Bluetooth then open the menu and choose Device Properties for your headset. If not, it's probably waiting for you to okay the connection.

It was set to Ask so I changed it to Yes to trust it in the properties but nothing has changed. The audio isn't showing up in my headset.

I have the same headset and an 8800. I have two headsets, and they both work fine. When opened, I get little message that the pairing has happened, then all audio come through the headset.
Maybe try deleting the connection and try to pair again. I did nothing further than pairing. It did take a couple of trys before pairing happened, because the 700 kept leaving search mode.

I deleted it frrom my 8800 but it won't go int o pairing mode now? All I have to do is open the boom on my headset right? It's still flashing blue and not purple the way it should be for pairing mode.

When pairing, are you near any other bluetooth equipment? I had to move to another room to get away from my BT keyboard and laptop.
When you open the boom, do you get the message about pairing has completed? When you close the boom, it should also tell you the connection has been lost.
If you are not getting these messages, I d/n think pairing has actually happened - regardless of what the headset does.

Did you try to make a call?
Did you try to make a call to see if you can hear it through the headset? When I pair my headset with my 8800, I cannot hear keystrokes in the headset, but I can hear the ring and use it for speaking. It is confusing not hearing the keys when I dial, but it does work. I have a Bluespoon AX2.

Yes I've tried making calls and you can't hear anything in the headset..When I open the boom I dont get that message and when I close the boom I dont get a message either. But I've deleted it from my 8800 several times now and paired it again and it keeps finding my headset..It says right on the phone when Im pairing...found device Motorola H700...But I can't use it for some reason.

I'm wondering that even tho it's finding the headset, it's not actually pairing. Do you get prompted to enter a code? On my Motorola bluetooth I have to press the button in and hold it until it glows blue. Then I have two seconds to open the boom and then it prompts for a code on the 'berry. I type it 0000 and it accepts it. I don't have your model, but it might be worth a try.
