+1, this is the part that annoys me; I always dial faster than a phone can make key noises and the BB lags. Every other phone I've used can turn off the keypad tones (hello, 2001?) except this device. It's not our fault, it's a very poor design choice on the part of RIM (add it to the list).

I dont even notice the sounds anymore.

I only notice it when its quite. Otherwise I don't pay enough attention to hear it.
