Don't like suretype devices, so none of them are in my top 5.

1. 8700g
2. 8703e'
3 7290

Those are 3 of the 4 I have had. The other, a 6230, is not worthy of being listed among the top 5.

1. 8700 - because with my plump fingers is the best to type
2. 8800 - because I love the design, but small keys
3. 8100 - perfect for weekends

I've had / used several over the last three years, including an 8800, a pearl and now a curve. In my opinion...the curve is the best of all. Best ergonomics overall - fits the pocket better than the 8800 (and more comfortable in hand), but unlike the pearl, it still has a full qwerty keyboard and a decent size screen. Perfect size / format.

Changes I'd like to see:
- wi/fi (which we'll see in a few short months)
- GPS receiver built in

As this platform proves itself more and more, I'd also like to see:
- more internal memory
- faster processor

but for now: the curve is my hands down favorite.

I don't know what our bases are, but I voted for the 72xx Series in terms of its sturdiness. I liked the feel of the 72xx series or the 7500. Form factor, was good too if only it was a little bit smaller or narrower.

1. 72xx or 75xx
2. 8300
3. 8700g
4. Pearl
5. 71xx

No real basis for the vote CC.... Everyone has different things they look for in a device... That's kinda why I left it open ended...

Coming from the Treo line long ago, I have simple needs... A ROCK solid OS, no frills and it needs to just plain work! All of the BB's accomplish this so my further basis for my vote is that I am more of a qwerty person and love the qwerty devices.... I like the track wheel better than the tracball... I have NO need for a camera, GPS is nice but not all that important either way... I do not need any media functions...

Note the 7290 and 8700 are at the top of my list... Both qwerty, both track wheel, none have a camera or media functions... But I LOVE em both!!!!

Kris

It would be really interesting to know which one was the best all time seller for RIM. My guess would be the 7290, just because they sold it for so long, very cheap.. big corporations liked the price -- at least mine did.
