I guess it depends on what you DO care about.

If the 8300 suits your needs... then it's a good choice.

Even without WiFi and GPS, if it doesn't do what you need it to do, then pass on it.

Very good question. In fact, it is the perfect question that I need to ask myself. I already have a BB 8700g that is perfect for me and I got a Garmin 10x Mobile for my GPS -- so what should I do. A practical answer would be, stick with what you have if it works. From a business point of view, it is not an investment if it doesn't put money in your pocket. But if you are into it for fun, why not? Then go for it Since I use my BB for business, I'd say, I might stick to what I have -- until I will find the reason why I would need one.

yeah...i guess im trying to justify getting the 8300 now..rather than waiting for the next version in about a month (although I dont think i'll use WiFi much....and GPS sounds like it'll be crippled by AT&T --so an unlocked version may not even work with T-Mobile (which I have)).
