I have read other posts about connecting my 8100 to my laptop and using this as a modem and having t-mobile as a carrier but I was wondering if this was possible with Cellular One as well?

I figured it out. Have to put in cellular1wap. it works great.

Yes it is. Check the forums or the FAQ for instructions. Instead of the tmobile wap address use the cellular one address which is, cellular1wap. That is the only difference. I use mine often but don't bother talking to customer care, they will deny it is possible.

Jim do you enter the APN code like this: +cgdcont=1,"cellular1wap" or do you just use cellular1wap

I worked on this last night and I can't get it to work I have done everything the FAQ instructions said to do and it won't work. I'm still getting a 734 PPP link control protocol was terminated. I did get a IP error twice but I cn't get that error to come up again. Are you using *99# for the phone number and no username and password. I really need this to work I'm going on vacation next week and unfortunately I have to take my work with me.

Ok I now get it to dial up and connect but when I open IE it won't open any web pages it says that the server could't be found

Any Ideas?

I got it I needed to put two commas after the 1 and turn off my firewall. It is really slow about 48k but it will work in a pinch.
