I have a 8800 & IT chap has done the biz so that I get my emails pushed to the devise by our server, small business I think.
If I turn my PC off at night I still receive emails but cannot send any out. This is not to much of a prob as if I know I am going to be away I just leave it on.
However when I do I receive every email onto the BB twice. Sometimes with attachments & others without.
Any ideas how I could stop this?????????

Sounds like you have two issues here:
1: looks like you have installed the BES Desktop version which includes a desktop redirector. Uninstall the blackberry desktop software and reinstall it making sure you install BIS BlackBerry Internet Solution.
2: sounds like your IT chap may have set and auto forward and inputted the IMAP settings to the BIS account.
Chack that he has not set an auto forward on your mailbox or desktop. Sign into the BIS account and make sure you only have one account on the BIS website.also once all checked resend the service books and reboot the device this should resolve the sending issue

Hopefully that should sort your issues out.
