I really like the music player. Sound quality is excellent, and on par with my new Ipod Nano. I use both bluetooth stereo headphones and regular headphones and sound from both is good. Sound without bluetooth is better, but that's to be expected. Despite what some have said, you can create Playlists with Windows Media Player. All in all, the media player is Excellent and the sound too is Excellent.

As good as any other mp3 player I've heard. None of them are a Linn CD12, but the curve should be good enough.

We won't know the price until an announcement has been made. Rumor has it that it should be released before the month is out...

since an mp3 is a digital file, wouldn't the device playing it be irrelevant to sound quality? headphones would be the critical element, I would think

No from my current Samsung mp3 to my wife Shuffle using the same headphones the sound is different the Ipod sound better.

jeremyckitching- I know the price isn't known I just put that there to compare the outcomes....Ipod or BB...$250 or ???

Does it have cont/random play? Well its good to know it sounds good now it all weights on the price of the gizmo..

The quality of the chips used for audio can have an effect.

The BB Curve is no iPod. It's not as easy to use as a media player, and it does not perform as well - especially as a video player.

That said, it works well as a music player. I found it is loud enough and sounds good enough - it is certainly a better media player than most phones.

It is not as responsive as an iPod. It takes longer to load songs and playlists. But, for most uses, it works well. I use it as a music player from time to time - but I won't be tossing out my iPods.

if you use high end headphones, you'll be able to hear a white-noise hiss on the line at lower volumes.. the audio chip is definitely not up to par of a regular ipod.. if you use normal headphones, it'll be fine.
