Can the Curve view Microsoft® Word, Excel®, PowerPoint®, and Adobe® PDF files? I was reading the new specs on the new 8820 and I was wondering if the Curve could read these?

Yes.

Many older models/older OS can as well, but may require the assistance of a third-party viewer.

I get Excel spread sheets and Powerpoint presentations as email attachements regularly and they open without any third party app.

And they're only viewable as email attachments.

Check out BeamBerry, it allows you to view the docs in full size as they appear normally and pan around the doc.

Good suggestion, Keith, especially on the older models. I used it for a long time, still have it.

Without a Blackberry Data Plan, you need a third party program.

Yes, look at eFile, I think, from Dynoplex. If you can't afford a Data Plan, you likely won't like their prices either.

Actually, we have just lowered prices quite a bit - eOffice is $99 now and MasterDoc (enables document viewing in original form) only $49.95.

There is a free viewer for excel apps, i can't remember the name of it, never used it. But I do know I have discussion of it in the Aftermarket Software section. Search in that forum only.
