Hello guys!

It is great to have such an active website about Blackberry. I am hoping to learn some new stuff and help with problems that come up with the BES or the devices.

I work for a Law Firm in Detroit, MI. When I got here, the firm was still running version 3.6 with no service packs. When the DST rolled around, we found out the hard way that being so far behind was not a good thing. We convinced the firm to purchase 4.1, and I couldn't have been happier. During the last year, we have went from 5 devices to 22. Most of the devices are 8700 series, but the newer ones are creeping into our area. The attorney usually buys their own device, so we don't have a set standard (as long as its a Blackberry device, we don't own Blackberry Connect).

I personally sport a modified 7100. Its modified since it has a 7105 case! Being in IT, I usually get stuck with the cast offs, and I decided the 7100 was the best out of the bunch I have sitting in my desk (ugly 8700G, (2) 7290then my 7100/7105 hybrid). The 8700G had a broken face, I tried to repair it with a replacement face but it didn't go too well. Anyway, I have my fun here.

Thanks!

8700g, ugly? Go slap yourself.

Welcome to the group. The Muppet's Beaker is/was one of my favorite characters ever. So, so , verbose.
