Tried the TILT, back to Blackberry

Gotta say, 3G is awesome, WiFi is blazing, and BB connect is super. But, typing is miserable, it has severe lags in the UI, doing anything take numerous button presses or use of the stylus, and battery life was unsuable for me.
Using an 8310 now...how sweet it is, but I'll jump in an instant when RIM releases a 3G berry.

I echo your thoughts..
I too tried the Tilt (Day 7) and it's going back. There are things that I like about it but it doesn't trump my BB.

HAHA I did the exact same thing! I hated how inefficient doing simple things like quickly sending messages was. I hated the lags in the UI. I hated the completely ridiculous battery life. I hated how you could not take quick shots with the camera. I hated the keyboard. I pretty much hated everything about it.
Although, it did have some pluses, overall my new BlackBerry 8310 is a much more pleasurable device.

hearing this i'm glad i opt'd for the 8310 over the Tilt. I debated for awhile but chose the Curve. It'll be my first BB so i'm pretty excited about it!

I was using tytn II. It was really good, but with blackberry installed, it became a phone that is in the middle of nowhere. If BBC is installed, many applicatoin that use BES data cannot be used, which is a bad thing. Secondly, if i wanna use windows applicatoin, i need to use the carrier APN and cut off BBC. I have a unlimited BB plan BTW
I switched back to Blackberry 8300 as my email and data phone. Tytn II as my regular phone for calls and navigation.

Glad this works for you, I just don't want to carry two devices. Seems there's no perfect solution, but for me BB comes the closest.

Same here. While I liked the combo of 3G, WiFi and GPS on one device, I couldn't get over the thickness of the Tilt. Also, I still don't think I've ever been able to get e-mail set up correctly on WM devices. It works until I open outlook on my PC, then all of the e-mails on the mobile device just disappear. Like it said - that part may be all me.
Anyway, I'm waffling back and forth between an 8820 and an 8310 - like 'em both, but am leaning to the 8310 as my everyday device.
