Hi all!

I just got a 8310 and had a question. I'm trying out TeleNav and would like the screen not to go off after 30 seconds when I am using the GPS. Otherwise, I would like the screen to go off as it normally does when I am not using that feature. Is there any for it to stay on when I am using TeleNav and go black when I am not?

I use TN, and I am only familar with a setting for backlight on at turns, but not one such as you speak of.

I haven't yet found that feature, but don't use it enough to say for sure.

It should come back on when the device 'comes to life' to tell you to turn left, right, or continue (or yell "NEW ROUTE!" )

Go into telenav's preferences and you can set the backlight to "always on." If you do that, it'll keep the light on as long as the telenav application is navigating and active. If you go to an application while navigating, you'll still hear the voice prompts, but the light will go off as normal.

I went from a Pearl to a Trio 750 and still feel the guilt for doing that. I LOVE the 8310 and am happy to be a BB user again. Forgive me for my transgressions.

The only thing is if you set it to keep the back light on always you should have a power source as it will suck your battery dry very quickly.
