are there any benefits of having the default browser set to IE or WiFi?

When home, i'm mostly on uma/UMA.......would it benefit me to use the WiFi browser at this time?

but obviously when i'm out and about, i'm on EDGE.

what would be the best "default" brower setting? and what are the benefits from one over the other?!

If you set the Internet Browser to be default then it will work when you're mobile and when you're home on UMA it will automatically use the wifi browser anyway.

JC, i understand that....but is there any advantages of using the WiFi browser at all?

i'm just trying to understand why there's a specific browser for WiFi.

When you're on wifi you ARE using the wifi browser. I think you're over analyzing this. "Default" means the browser that will be launched if you click a link in an email or other text document or what will be launched from the "Go To" command from the browser. If you set it to wifi then it will always use the wifi browser even when on EDGE and it won't go through. IMO, there is no real reason to set the default browser as wifi unless you DON'T want to use any data over a cell network.

Just set the Internet Browser as default and all will work fine. It will use EDGE when no wifi is available.
