Default About DM 4.2.2 and BlackBerry 8320

Please Login to Remove!

Hello, I am a software developer, and I develop a application and run normally on Blackberry until someone told me can't install my application into Blackberry 8320 with updated OS 4.2.2 with destop Manger version 4.2.2,
It pop up a box and show "No additional applications designed for your device were found".

BlackBerry Search Results

I have confirmed that the 8320 is new purchased machine and no application have installed on it before. So the case that "it is already installed on your BlackBerry device." is impossible. Anyone have ideas about this problem?

Thank You

Yea, check out FAQs for a clear and concise solution. You should load the matching OS (same as is on the handheld device) and install it to the PC, also.

Good luck.

I find this "The handheld OS on your PC must match the handheld OS on your BlackBerry" from the website you gave me. But I think I have match the rules. The destop Manager that I installed is Desktop_Software_v4.2_SP2_without_Media_Manager_(E nglish).exe and the 8320 OS is 4.2.2 too. Any other ideas about this problem?

Yes, other people do have similar problems until they follow the directions posted in the FAQ link... have you installed the handheld OS to your Desktop PC?

But read my post again, I never said install DM 4.3. Use 4.2 SP2.*

The KEY is to install your OS on your PC.

(*DM 4.3 is acceptable IF it works for you. I use 4.2.2 on my office PC and 4.3 on my laptop.)

Hi,

You guys install 4.3 over the existing 4.22 or removed the 4.22 first then install the 4.3?

Thanks!

What is the meaning of "have you installed the handheld OS to your Desktop PC?" How can I install handheld OS to my PC? Actually I have install Destop Manager 4.2.2 which match the OS with handheld V 4.2.2.184 (Platform 2.5.0.40).

KK - there are two components. Desktop Manager, and the Handheld OS. Both must be installed on the PC. You download Desktop Manager, execute it and it is installed on your PC. You download the Handheld OS, execute the downloaded file, and it is installed on your PC.

Desktop Manager does not "match" with the OS on the handheld. They are not related.
