Default Curve and Mercedes Bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

I am currently using an 8700c and am interested in switching to a Curve. Can anyone who has tried it let me know if they were able to pair it with the Mercedes Bluetooth Module (AWS).

BTW, I drive an '07 E350.

Thanks

It should be VERY east with that vehicle. Take it to your dealer and have them show you what to do.

Having the same problem getting the address book to sync. I see your reply mentioning the AWS site and it indeed mentions the 8300 is compatiable but it also states that the software level must be "Approved software level(s) for the Blackberry Curve 8300 GSM for AT&T: 4.2.2.89" mine is currently 4.2.2.170.

In your opinion would it be a good idea to go backwards and install this version and if so where would I get it?

I've used an 8300 and now my 8310 with the MB BT module with no problems in my '08 E63.

Make sure you're not missing the message on the center console display that says "Address Book Full". The MB COMAND in the older generation, of which the W211 E-class is a part of, has limited address book storage capacity; not sure if this is fixed in the newer generation of the COMAND in the S- and C-class.

I get around it by specifying in my 8310 which categories need to be downloaded to a BT device and now I don't have a problem with my most often needed numbers.

Yeah, I'm not getting any addresses. Vehicle is not the same though its an 07 S class. When I select "Send address" book from the phone I get a Message saying it's preparing it, then when it tries to send it's errors with something like "Failed to connect". The phone connects fine. sends receives calls, etc. I've tried virtually every setting on the phone to send a limited amount of contacts, encrypted, not encrypted, nothing seems to work. I had an iPhone for a day it worked without having to do anything on my part, but alas it was not for me.
