I was wondering whether there was any full map software for blackberry that was available without having to incur data charges? Anything similar to portable navigation systems where the maps are pre-loaded and navigation is based on the already fully downloaded maps? Any help is appreciated, TIA

i dont understand why this is so hard to make, just put the maps on the SD, many other programs can already utilize the SD card. ahh well guess it only matter to people that have to pay crazy money for data.

Seems like it would load the maps faster, though. That's what I'd like. Downside is you have to update it.

But it's not like it would be hard to update anyways. And I'd rather update it every few months then have to pay rediculous fees for downloading.

That wouldn't really solve the map downloading issue, in fact it would make it worse as Google Maps uses tonnes of data
