Hi,

I privided a password on the hardware (BB Pearl) but it's annoying.
I can't remove the password because the option 'use password' seems to be locked/secured.

Any suggesions are welcome.

do you have an IT policy?? if so you cant do much about it

I don't know what you mean with a 'IT policy', but I do have the right password.
I just don't want to have to unlock it every time I wanna use my BB.

is the phone company provided??? are you on BES??? if so your administrator might have set a policy to have passwords on BB's and you cant remove it

Is this device something that you use for work, and is attached to your company BlackBerry Enterprise Server? If so, then there's nothing you can do about removing or changing the password requirements.
