Default Sync archives messages?

on my exchange i only allow my users 20mb of mailbox space. so they create a PST file and move messages from there mailbox to there PST file.

the problem i am having is when they move the messages from there inbox to there PST file the message does not go away on the phone?

any ideas?

I am using BBE 4.1.4 With Exchange! and 35 Blackberry's

Really?! 20MB of space? Wow... that's a bit strict, no?

What you're seeing is how BES was designed. It needs to see the deleted message in the server copy of the mailbox in order to reconcile the delete to the handheld.

I believe you can work around this by enabling hard deletes.
Do a search in the BES admin forum for 'hard deletes' and you should find the info you need.

i'm assuming you're referring to when they manually move messages from their exchange inbox to their pst in outlook, and not doing this function on the blackberry itself?

are the blackberry's set to mailbox wins for message conflicts?

Your exectly correct there doing this in the Outlook and the change is NOT taking place on the BB's

Mine is set for mailbox wins but if I manually move the messages in outlook they don't go away on the BB. Also is there some way to set folders on the BB such that when I fire up Outlook on my laptop it sees them on the Exchange server and moves them to my local PSTs?
