Default Default email address for camera/calender.....

Please Login to Remove!

Tried to search, but no success.
How do I set the email address for the camera, calender, etc. I have a couple of emails on my curve, and everytime time I send a pic or a calender invite it uses a certain email, that I don't want it to. I've looked everywhere on settings, defaults, no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try the following:

menu>options>advanced options>Default services> press in track ball and select the default email you want>menu>save.

I have tried that, I have another email address saved there, but when sending out anything from calender and camera it uses another email address. I also do have the option to change the email while sending an invite from my calender. Anything else I can try?

From main menu >mail icon>menu>options>email settings>click on your email and select the one you wish>menu>save

Alib... I do recall this being covered here on the board at least once recently. I don't recall if it was resolved or not, and I can't find the post... but let me ask.

Is the default email being used the first one you entered in the BB setup originally?

Alib,

I have a different model but when you are trying to email a pic it should bring up the window to address, the first field should be "Send Using:"[default], if you click your trackball you should see your other email address.

I can't check the calendar because I can't schedule on the fly.

JSanders: No, it's not the first email entered, it's actually the last one. I found another thread on the calendar, but not resolved(?).
Thatzmister2u: I just saw the [default] when sending a pic, and yes I can change it.

I just don't know how to change the default email address for either. I checked the default services in advanced options. It's another email address. The camera's not a big deal, just need to remember to change my email address, but the calendar is killing me, the email address that my calendar is using is a business address.......that I would prefer not to use on certain invites to certain people.

Sorry for the double posts, I was posting from my BB (for the first time), I just noticed that....

Well, i do not know you can't change it from it's default. So, for fun, why not go to your BIS site and delete the email address you wish to be the default sent from address, and then re-add it?

Maybe now it being the last entered, it will be the default?

Here's what just worked for me.
  1. Delete the bad address using BIS
  2. VERY IMPORTANT - Create an appointment and invite someone. It seems that it was very important that I actually create an appointment while I only had the one good account in order for it to stick.
  3. Re-add the bad address

When I then created a new event and sent an invite it used the right account.

mrfurious, I know if your workaround works, you will be thanked greatly.

Can I ask... if a user has say five email address pushing to their device, should they delete ALL of the addresses they wish not to use, leaving ONLY the one they prefer, and then follow your subsequent directions?

I'm guessing you want to delete until it works. I only have 2 email addresses on mine so that's all I managed to play with. Getting back to the one email address seemed to fix it up, so I'd say keep creating events as you delete each account until it goes from the right one.
