I have a micro sd card installed and have pictures and a Word document on it. However, I can only view the pictures. The options for my bb 8310 show the Media Card and I believe the card is formated because I can view the pictures. My question is this; how do I access the media card from the bb desktop...through the media icon? I have no separate icon the the media card. Then, how can I/do I view the word document?

You need third-party software on your BlackBerry to view documents on the Media Card. The BlackBerry doesn't have the ability to open word documents from the media card on its own.

You can't view the Word doc without 3rd party software. BeamBerry - View, Print, Store BlackBerry e-mail attachments is one.

You'll use the application to view the file.
It won't show up in the Media icon in your BlackBerry, ever.
