Default How to get curve to ring longer

Please Login to Remove!

It sounds like it rings only a short time before going to voice mail.
Is there anyway I can adjust number or rings before it goes into voice mail? Or it could be my ringtone, that it is too short.

Thank You.

You can choose to make your phone ring 3 times and vibrate 3 times.
go into your profiles sound
click on advance
click on menu on the desire profile
click edit
and choose your settings.

Default You have to call the carrier

It looks like you're using AT&T. I had to call them to make that change. They told me they can set the ring time before going to voicemail in 5 second increments. 30 seconds was the maximum.

djaward, thanks, but I am aware of that, changing vibration "times" does not change the number of rings, it just takes time from the ringing, and it will still go to voice mail after x number or rings.

jcatan, Thanks. I think that's what they can do. T-Mo used to allow this by calling them, they said max it can ring was 2 minutes I think.. When I bashed them for CHARGING ME when someone called me. So yes, as soon as my phone starts ringing, a minute is dropped from the available minutes. So the longer it rings, more they will charge. I told them if it rings for 20 minutes, you will eat my minutes? they said max was 2 minutes, I think.

I don't mind ringing for 45 seconds or more. Let me check.

The max ring time until voicemail on just about all carriers is 30 seconds. Most default to 15 seconds on all accounts, unless you change it.

This is easily found on the FAQ:
Increase amount of rings before voicemail - BlackBerryFAQ.com

Thank You, I think safest thing is to call AT&T and ask them what is the longest allowed. But that FAQ entry is very useful, I knew it was there, but I just couldn't find it.

Thanks!`
