Some emails come twice?
Please Login to Remove!
For some reason, the email account that i have set up through my own server a few of them come twice. But at random times. Sometimes it's like 10:10 am and 10:11 am and this morning for example i got one @ 8:10 and 8:35.... the same exact email....
why would this be happening?
I'm not getting it twice in my inbox, just on my bberry.

scroll up to the header info. hold in ALT and type VIEW. it will have a RefID number. see if they are the same for each message.

Are you using the desktop redirector and BWC? If so, when BWC gets the email and forwards it to the handheld, and then redir gets it from Outlook or whatever you will get a second copy of the message.

I had this issue too and in my case it didn't have anything to do with the webclient or another email service being setup (cause one wasn't). To resolve I removed the user from the BES. Did a security wipe on his device, ran dbclean on his desktop, readded user to BES, ran enterprise activation. Then the issue went away. I tried many things before this and these were the only and exact steps that eventually worked.

There are a few possibilities...
a. You have your pop3 forwarding to BWC *and* BWC fetching mail from the pop3 account.
b. You have pop3 forwarding to BWC and the desktop redirector checking pop3 and forwarding to the handheld.
c. Simular to b, you have BWC fetching from the pop3 account and desktop redirector checking pop3 and forwarding to the handheld.
The first option will give you end results like this... almost instant email when the sender sends it, then a second copy within 15 minutes, which is the interval for BWC to check pop3.
The second option will give you end results like this... almost instant email when the sender sends it, then a second copy when your Outlook connects to your pop3 account and gets the mail, which the redirector then sends to the handheld.
The third option will give you results like this... Everytime the Outlook connects to your pop3 account, the redirector will forward the mail to your handheld. If BWC checks the pop3 before your Outlook does it will send you the mail that is waiting for you, that Outlook hasn't yet retrieved. Because BWC leaves a copy of mail on the pop3 server, and Outlook doesn't, it will seem random when you get repeat messages and when you don't.
Either way, if you can leave the computer that the redirector is installed on, turned on, use the redirector exclusively. You can do this by making sure your BWC has no email accounts listed to fetch mail from, and making sure none of your pop3 accounts are forwarding mail to your BWC account.
I hope this helps people out and figures things out for you.

Okay, I am beyond confused and super annoyed.
Right now, i'm roaming and everytime i open an email i get charged twice cause it keeps coming in twice. It's different RIM numbers and it can happen anywhere from 1-15 minutes later that i get the 2nd exact copy of the first email, now it's happening even when my OE is open. I just got charged like 12 bucks for a 6,000 KB attachment that got sent back to my blackberry, twice!
I waited for it to vibe and finish and everything and it still opened it immediately, which cost me double.
Just please how can i stop this from happening? I don't use enterprise or anything. . .

sounds like you are using pop3 on the same email as you are forwarding
edit: oops what corey said sounds like the culprit

Log into you BWC/BIS account and remove you PIN from it. ie. make sure BWC/BIS is not forwarding mail to your handheld. I listed the 3 ways that you might get duplicate email above. If indeed none of those 3 are the case, you really have to talk to RIM because something like that would denote some type of device/bes problem and that would most likely be beyond the scope of what help we could give you here. If it is a device/bes problem, your besadmin needs to deal with RIM to sort it out... wonder if the company has ponied up for TSupp...
