Anybody using the 8320? I hear the wifi is great, and you can skip the data plan

I'm using it. You'll still need a BlackBerry Data plan unless you don't want email. When you're using the WiFi UMA connection for voice/data/etc it still needs to be able to "speak blackberry" on the other end, it's just effectively tunneling it.
The only reason to use UMA (and you don't have to use it) is if you want free "airtime" when you're at a hotspot or to make the browser faster, though when I'm near WiFi I'd rather browse on my tablet.
