After I download the latest OS and I connect my BB to the DM, I select "Application Loader" and I receive the following error message:

"The Blackberry Desktop Device Software does not have the Blackberry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator."


What am I doin wrong?

Which version of the OS did you download? Was it for the 8310?

It's the latest OS from TIM for the 8310.

Delete the vendor.xlm file also if you are using a diffrent carrier os

Downloaded and install, I've done this before with the previous OS and this is the first time I've come across this.

if you did this, and you have the correct device os,

try this

uninstall, the os, reboot the pc
redownload the new os, and install that, the delete the vendor file and try again, make sure you delete the vendor file before the loader starts, also pc's i have see cause this, a normal reboot, or redownload/reinstall fixes this for me
