Default How do I update my OS?

Please Login to Remove!

I just downloaded and Installed 4.3 on my computer, and I thought when I sync'd it would load on my Pearl....

How do I update it on the Pearl?

You typically have to run the Application Loader.

Are you sure you installed the version that is made for your device?

I did run the aplication loader but it did not pick up any new os

If you downloaded the right OS update file from AT&T, then ran the executable file it should work just fine.

Try downloading the file again, and/or running the executable file again.

Did you validate that they OS version you're downloading is newer than what is on your device.

Yes the phone says 4.2 and I downloaded 4.3

How do I get the AT&T version

I am assuming you have an AT&T Pearl because that is what you have listed in your profile.

Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader and delete it

Its an index of sorts that ties device OS's to carrier released hh's. Removing this effectively makes the software "generic" of sorts if you will and app loader passes right by the missing vendor.xml and will update your HH

Deleting the vendor.xml does not affect what is loaded to the device or how it is loaded. It only allows the software to BE loaded.

4.3? I dont think there's a 4.3 os version, maybe you're talking about the desktop manager?
