i am new here and i was told that since i use suncom i can link my bb pearl 8100 to the internet thru the usb cable. i have tried it but i have no idea how to do it. can some one help...

are you trying to use your device as a modem for connecting your laptop/desktop computer to the internet? or are you trying to get internet for your device via your laptop/desktop computer?

your question suggests that you want to get internet for the device. if so, the method that you are considering is not possible.

i am looking for a way to use the internet that is paid for by my boss's carrier as internet for my bosses bb pearl, i have a htc mogul and i can just use internet sharing though wm6 is there a way i can do this for my boss on her bb pearl?? not phone as modem but instead just sharing the net!

welcome to the forums,
your boss' pearl must be a model 8120 for this to work (wifi enabled), plus, the router used for wireless internet must be supported with the blackberry. if both of the above requirements are met, she should have internet connection using the "set-up wifi" option from her menu screen. Some sites and features will require her to have a blackberry data plan.
