Could you pleaseeeeee giv me the step by step way to add a software config..? I am new to BES.Thanks
We are currently running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 as our mailing system. The server runs a mails detector software – PopCon that pulls mails from our ISP. Using Windows 2003 Active Directory, the mails are distributed to different recipients in the organisation.
With this, no public IP on our Exchange server as it is running behind an ISA server (that doubles as a firewall) that has a public ip address.
This is our scenario and I will like to know if and how Blackberry will work for us.
You're sure that you've shared out your software directory. If you follow the BES administration instructions the default is: "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\" Make sure the permissions are set properly. But the "Not in UNC naming format" error you're getting sounds like you're not referencing the shared software folder properly. Make sure that your Source Path is set properly. Default is "\\<servername>\Research In Motion\". The UNC error is thrown when referencing the server while omitting the '\\' or "whack-whack" as it's called.
