I believe I have a pretty good idea of what range of internal IP's are failing at least in my neck of the woods.
10.50.64.0-10.50.255.255
The working ranges are
10.49.0.0/16
10.50.0.0/18
10.89.0.0/16
Here is my data so far. I stopped recording IP's in the 10.49.0.0/16 and 10.89.0.0/16 subnets since they always appear to work.
The interesting bit is that 10.50.0.0 has a group of working ips. 10.50.0.0-10.50.63.255 works, 10.50.64.0-10.50.255.255 fails.

So the sure fire fix seems to be to turn wireless off for a second and then turn it on and check your IP with the #4357* aka #help* phone number. If it is in the bad range just repeat until you get a good IP.
If you want to repeat my tests here is what I do.
1. I added an address book entry for #4357* to make checking the IP easier. Dial that number and scroll down to check the current IP address
2. Open up Beyond 411 application and do a yellowpage (default) search. Note if it works or fails to connect and record IP address.
3. Turn off wireless
4. Turn on wireless
5. Go to step 1
