Is it possible to just install the blackberry.alx file?

I'm trying to get rid of the unlocked vendor themes. I forgot to back up the bb.alx file before i unlocked them.(lesson learned, btw)

Or do I have to reinstall the whole OS?

You would have to reinstal the software on your phone. I believe you can do this through desktop manager without doing a device wipe.

An ALX file doesn't have any info in it tho. All it does is point the desktop manager @ the COD file. That's why you need both to instal anything

If you want to remove them, simply remove the associated .cod files from the java folder. I usually move them to a folder labeled "Removed Modules." See my "Optimize your BB's Memory" thread in my sig below.
