Default Pearl Lifetimer?

Please Login to Remove!

Does a lifetimer exist on a BB Pearl?

I'm trying to find the master life timer, but it seems to be it only logs calls that you can erase. In other words, they are just temp life timers.

Anyone know where I can find the master life timer on the Pearl?

Thanks

There isn't. The only timer that is on there is to tell if a device is new. Once you have exceeded 250k of data and 60 minutes talk time. To view: Menu>options>Status then type BUYR (using multi-tap method).

It has 207.7K of data and exceeded 60 mins. Would it still be considered pretty new?

And those are the ONLY indicators to tell if the item's brand new/ has been used a lot, am I correct?

There are some BB Pearls that are on my local buy/sell forums in which they indicate the life timer, i have no idea how they do that.

Are you trying to determine how much use because you just bought it or because you are preparing to sell it? If it's the latter then I would suggest value is set based upon physical appearance and most buyers will not care how much use it has had.

Exclamation timers

it would be nice if it had timers like some Motorola's my v3c had a timer for life time / minutes used / roaming min/ local min and timers for data life time / resettable .rim needs to do some thing like that a phone could have 30hrs talk time and 500hrs data.

What does it matter how much it's been used if it still works the way it should? Not trying to start anything here, I'm just failing to see the connection so I was wondering if I was missing something obvious..
