Ok - so, after several reboots during phone conversations, I decided to downgrade back to 4.2.2. I tried using a smaller microsd card, formating my 4gb micro sdhc card, removing the card entirely and still the same thing...reboot while talking to someone about 20 - 30 seconds into the conversation. I'll just have to wait for the official release comes out.

i found battery life completely shocking also.
i think .37 was pretty good for me.
but after all these betas. ive now decided to wait for the real deal.
its gotten to the point where my appetite has been satisfied with the 4.5 betas. i can now wait in patience.

This OS works fine!
Just wonder about camera!
Can anyone confirm for me that camera is still very dark?
How to make it brighter?

I will be downgrading to .37 asap. I havent had any reboots, but the memory leak is bad and the battery life thing combine to make this too much for me to deal with. I've had it freeze completely once and it is hanging as well. I would not recommend making the switch from .37 unless the improved streaming video and browser cursor bug fix are more important than running a stable os.
The only problem I had with .37 was the cursor bug and inconsist video streaming. I wonder what the heck they messed up fixing these...

Maybe i havent noticed this in previous version, but it seems to me that in 4.5.0.42, the unread email count, calendar reminder count, are refresehed at the time when a botton is pushed while the blackberry is in sleep mode.
Anyone noticed this, or is this the way it always functioned?

As an information point for others considering the beta, here is my experience.
Now on day two with .42 on my 8320 (TMO) and I'm finding problems holding a UMA connection. It will show UMA on the screen, but either a call will fail or a call will fail to connect and there will be rapidly flashing blue incoming data arrow in the corner. Wifi diagnostics shows that everything is connected properly. I've resent the service books and will try a battery pull to see what happens. For the first day, I had strong UMA performance that was actually better, overall, than .18.
So far, on my 8320, I have the following issues with .42:
* Unstable UMA - still checking to see how it holds up. The battery pull seems to have restored the original signal strength.
* Slow memory leak
* No voicemail icon
There may be some other anomalies as well, but I'm a recent BB convert and don't have a lot of experience with the intricacies of the interface. I actually didn't spend much time at all with 4.2 since the beta was floating around when I received it.

Also on day 2 of OS .42. Love the look and layout. Runs better than .37. Just 2 items I've noticed so far.
* BB Messenger - lost my contact (only had one - )
* Yahoo Go - menu button does not work. Only option from the menu button is 'close'. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, but no fix.
Will keep this until something better or final version is released.

I haven't had any UMA issues, whatsoever with .42.
I've had the slow mem leak, no voicemail icon and batterylife issues, though.

I too am on TMO and get no VM Icon. Add me to the list of battery drain, and the New verison of Google Maps 2.2.0 freezes on my 8320. But Windows Live Search works like a charm. Have had no UMA issues with this .42 build and NO SIMS CARD HAVE DIED.

I'm using 42 on an 8110. Seems to be working pretty well so far, but m.youtube.com videos refuse to load. When I click the watch video link, it opens the media player, but then nothing happens. Audio boost is disabled.

I am have a problem that is the exact opposite of not getting the voicemail indicator...my voicemail indicator won't go away.
I have an 8800. I listened to all my voicemails, deleted all the hold ones, did soft and hard resets and the indicator is still there.
I am glad they fixed the browser cursor bug though, that was pretty much the only problem I had with .37. Hopefully that means they are getting closer to a carrier release, I'm starting to get annoyed with the 4.5 theme nazis.

.18 is the best i've used, no need to go any higher with these betas IMO i mean theres no real benefits.

Im personally a fan of .37. Of course I dont use UMA as I have an 8310. The VM issue has to be a tmobile thing. Ive cornered my self into this beta for the time being cause my computer is ill, on day two, things seem to be running fine. However they were running well on the first day too for about 12 hours before I started getting the random hangs and errors. I am also having gmaps and docs to go hang. The radio signal dropping but continuing to show full edge is another issue others reported that I am also having.
One last thing... my cookie and cache arent being cleared, but when I exit opera or bb browser, I have to re-login to any accounts, google, facebook, myspace, youtube, etc.

Emails and are different in .42 than in .194. The layout is easier to select which email to read. Also, the address book is different. Better when hovering over for additional numbers.
