Default No emails on EDGE, get them on UMA???

Please Login to Remove!

First off, I followed all four steps a few times.

While I am at work in Downtown Los Angeles I get no emails or blackberry messenger messages. When I get home, the wifi kicks in and all of a sudden I get all my emails all at once, as well as all the bb messages. I have been on with the T mobile people for the past 2 days and they have no answer. Does anyone know what is going on? I do receive calls at work as well as texts.

Start with a battery pull. Next pay attention to your signal are you pulling full EDGE?

I am gonna guess Tmo removed/fubared your BB plan by accident, and you are still provisioned with RIM. have them remove the plan, wait 5 minutes, and put it back on. then reregister to the network with options > advanced > host routing table > menu > register now. if that doesnt work then try to delete all service books under options > advanced > service books, then log into my tmobile, go to your BIS setup page, and resend service books.

you did everything that was mentioned?
Removed plan
waited
re-added plan
registered again to the network
deleted all service books (not just the email ones)
resent them from the BIS site

then you can always remove/readd all the email accounts from the BIS site as well

Yes, It happened on Thursday and I did not go back there until yesterday and it happened again. Today as well. I just unplugged my WIFI for a test. Now that I am thinking about it, I am not sure if i have received emails outside my wifi. i will be back soon with results..

that isnt the problem but it means you never were provisioned for a BB data plan, or at least not properly.

I have the same problem, so I decided to wipe the handheld. Now I have no e-mail setup icon at all. T-mobile is dumbfounded as am I. I have deleted service books/reregistered with bb, they have readded my plan, and still nothing.

having the same problem in Orlando, FL. that started around 10 this morning. Wonder if Tmobile is changing something. Seems odd and maybe unrealistic (or paranoid) but been with them for years and when there was some email interruption in the past I called, no one knew anything or had an answer but some system upgrade appeared mysteriously shortly thereafter.

Spent 2 hours on this today and here it is.. The problem lies within the handoff between your wifi network and the cell tower. If the handoff is not successful it will become stuck with the wifi network and not send/receive e-mail. This is why when you enter the wifi network it will send/receive. You must call RIM for them to manually send the service books. Their number is 877-255-2377.

T-Mobile PDA reps can do that as well and you might find it easier to get through to them.

Or you can simply perform the battery pull then Register Now from the Host Routing Table to update the service books.

I did a battery pull and reregistered... about thirteen times. You'll receive a registration message from Blackberry but it still did not work. PDA support sent me to RIM after 5 minutes. RIM has to manually send the books to the phone.

It is a known issue.
