Default Does anyone have an opinion about the Earthlink 7750?

I think Earthlink uses CDMA. Does that mean their service will be the same as Verizon's? Does anyone have it in the tri-state area, if so, how well does it work?

Accordian Man, some more information on the Earthlink BlackBerry 7750 is available here:
http://www.karbonsystems.com/Earthli...etail-215.html

Based on what I've read, Earthlink uses Verizon's CDMA network, so coverage should be identical. However, I do not know whether Earthlink includes a Web Browser with their service. In addition, if you wanted to use the Earthlink service just for BlackBerry access, you'd be carrying two devices around - one, the Verizon device for voice, and the other, an Earthlink Blackberry.

Wish Verizon would just get with the program and include a browser, or not count against your minutes when using a 3rd party browser.

I was also looking at the Earthlink Blackberry, and they do not have a browser right now. However, I called tech support two weeks ago and told me they will have an HTML browser by the end of Oct. We'll see...

Just to confuse things more, I'm not getting the 7750 because of speed. Probably going to get a 7730 (T-Mobile).

But isn't the 7750 faster because of Verizon's 1xRTT network (153 kbp/s burst), as oppsed to T-Mobile's GPRS network (56 kbp/s burst)?

Yes, CDMA is faster. I meant the slowness of the 7750 unit itself (switching applications, etc.) There are other posts that discuss this issue.
