With the current software available for the 7100, you can not transfer files via BT.

Its not a freakin PDA, it's a BlackBerry.

Sorry, but the BlackBerry (pre-8100) is designed to restrict transfer of data via Bluetooth. The only Bluetooth functions you can use with your 7100g is headset and car kits.

My mistake, without a data plan why would anyone want a Blackberry. There are much better PDA's. I guess to each his/her own.

Yea well, they were selling it for a very very very low price, so i took it with out looking at details.

But isnt there a way to transfer through the usb cable it comes with?

Not easily - there is a thread on how to load ringtones without a data plan, please search for it. It is an extremely complicated process. I don't think it works for pictures. Most people use a data plan.

You do know that without a data plan you just have a glorified cell phone, right? You won't be able to use e-mail, web browsing, or any other data features.

Just sayin'.
